For example, knowing which regions offer the best oaks, cherries, white pines and maples allows us to truly represent these beauties of nature, while ensuring that there will be oaks, cherries, white pine and maple for our children, and their children’s children.
The incredible variety of woods being harvested from Africa, South America and beyond has opened up opportunities for Log Power to offer our customers unsurpassed choice. The beauty of the world’s woods has injected new life into our country's hardwood flooring market. Many of these woods are considerably harder and more durable than their domestic cousins, and offer an amazing array of colors and grains to grace many a family home.
Responsible logging of these trees has opened up vital revenue sources for some of the worlds poorer and underdeveloped countries, created essential jobs and improved living conditions.
With all of that said, the sensitive issue of forest - particularly rainforest preservation - is of concern to every right-thinking individual. The lumber industry has in forethought set up strict guidelines for logging operations, and now has standards for which they can issue an accreditation stamp to any operation meeting the criteria.
Forest-management organizations send out teams of foresters, ecologists and social scientists to visit forestry operations and inspect their practices for compliance... For example, they assure that:

We at Log Power actively seek out and consult with responsible sawmills who embrace the principals of reforestation. we do all we can to support this issue by trying to buy as much raw material as we can from companies that carry these internationally recognized accreditations. These forward thinking mills have helped increase the number of trees now growing within USA and Canada. It is a little known fact that there are more trees now growing within N. America than there was 50 years ago. We hope that with this initiative gaining momentum globally, soon our planet will be made safe for generations that follow.
